How...?...What to expect next…
 
The first step in your programme will involve an initial consultation. This will consist of a half hour, free, no obligation meeting. During this consultation you will have the chance to meet  David and discuss your personal goals and what can be done to help and guide you in achieving them. You will also have the opportunity to talk about any questions/issues you may have regarding the training process.  This time is also set aside to complete the required paperwork to allow us to proceed with your programme. You will be required to complete a medical history form to ensure you are fit to participate. David will never compromise your safety so it is vital to have this information at the start in order to design the safest programme possible for each client.

 

Upon completion of the free consultation you will be armed with the relevant knowledge you will need to decide if you wish to proceed with your personal training programme. Once you are as committed to David as he is to you, we will schedule your first workout.
 
Where...?
 
If an individual is to succeed in starting or sustaining a regular fitness regime, they need to be as comfortable with it as possible. yourfit operates from a fully equipped, private studio (small gym) located at the Paintworks development near Bristol City Centre on the A4 Bath Road. The studio (Fitworks,www.fitworksbristol.co.uk) has a fantastic riverside location and equipment includes olympic bars, dumbells, barbells, cable machine, swiss & medicine balls, power rack, lifting platform, incline/decline benches, kettlebells, cardiovascular equipment with ample parking and showering facilities. All personal training sessions conducted at the studio are one to one, ensuring privacy and comfort at all times. Alternatively, if an individual is not comfortable in such an environment, yourfit offers at home personal training where David conducts the session in the comfort of the clients own home with the following equipment at our disposal: barbells, dumbells, swiss & medicine balls, resistance bands, TRX suspension training and boxing training. Rest assured, all equipment is mobile and supplied by David and of course, yourfit is fully insured.

 

Personal training sessions can also be conducted in public spaces such as parks and grassy areas. This is an excellent alternative training environment offering more space and open air (Especially if the weather is good!).

  The First Workout!

The first thing to do is not to worry! You will not be subjected to a barrage of fitness tests. Fitness testing will be conducted when deemed necessary and appropriate to each individual and their goals. The aim is to encourage and progress, not humiliate!

 

This workout is the beginning of a hopefully long relationship and ongoing commitment which we make to each other. The session will establish our starting point through body composition analysis (Height/weight/body fat etc), programme direction (short/medium/long term goals) and/or fitness testing and assessments (C.V.& strength/posture & flexibility testing) depending on their validity and usefulness in relation to each client.

 

Session Two

 

By now we have thoroughly assessed your personal goals and training requirements and this means we are ready to begin your tailored programme. As such David will have designed your personal programme in preparation for this second session. Therefore, the session will consist of a programme run through. The exercises, techniques and structure of the programme will be demonstrated and taught enabling the client to follow and perform his/her programme with or without the presence of the trainer.

 

Subsequent sessions are booked regularly to ensure correct programme execution continues and to refresh and revise the programme as required. These sessions with the trainer might be twice a week or twice a month depending on individual needs. Rest assured these sessions with your trainer will throw up all sorts of exercise surprises to ensure boredom and slipping into a training rut never become a problem.

 

Regardless of the amount of sessions you book with your trainer, David is always on hand should any issues arise.
