Fitness Instruction & Training
Circuit training is used to combine the major principles of a good training session into a continuous workout, namely cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength/endurance and flexibiltiy. The advantages of this are twofold: The level of intensity of your workout is increased and the duration of your workout is reduced. Therefore you achieve a harder than usual workout in a shorter space of time.Perfect for busy lives and those who do not wish to train for an hour and a half at a time.
Every circuit class comprises of work with resistance equipment (bodybars/dumbells/kettlebells etc) to improve muscular strength/edurance and cardio equipment (stepping/skipping/running) to improve heart and lung conditioning and burn fat. Each class is followed by a period of stretching to aid range of movement at the joints and reduce the delayed onset of muscle soreness.
David also leads a beginners running club each and every Thursday from the Fitworks Sudio. The club is an introduction to regular running for those who are thinking of undertaking aerobic exercise.
